Disable tohts quote button then.

I think you'll find that i keep it civil compared to nath and calaen.

It usually is the same way with every discussion, i'm not the one starting with the insults etc.

Oh no, you never start these things toht, ever.

I think you'll find i didn't and in most cases, i don't.

I start discussing issues, i don't start insulting people.

It's you lot with your anti-tohtori bandwagon, every damn time.

Has nothing to do with being civil either.

Was more the use of the black man, it winds me up cos it seems it's the only example used, i've had shit for being white from asian lads an such but that example is almost never heard about.

Am i what? White or racist?

By saying that everyone here would get the joke except toht, you are discriminating against him. That makes you worse than a Nazi in control of a gas chamber.

Yeah, that's what i said.

That's how i think.

Good to know that calling me on "saying how someone thinks" isn't the same for you.

Hypocrite, to the bone, just the same.

But you'll just ignore this and say whatever you want i reckon.

im still lolling at failed viking peado.

Go ahead, i'd leave it where it is though.

And why is that?

If you took two persons, in a world where racism wasn't as big of an issue, or a world where trainers were as big of an issue, wouldn't it be equal?

Equal discrimination is ALWAYS equal.

I'd have to disagree there. I think discriminating against someone because of a choice they have made is not as bad as discriminating against someone for who or what they are.

Example: It is fair for an employer not to employee an individual who chose the nature of their appearance in a role where appearance is deemed to be a requirement of the job. Choose to get a tattoo on your face, or decide you want a piercing and it's fair to reject you as a potential receptionist or front of house staff. In the same circumstance it wouldn't be fair to reject you because you were black, white, asian, etc..

I'm aware that even this is not a clear-cut example, because there could be instances where race or skin colour colour are a requirement also.

However, I would still feel it's worse to discriminate agains the person who has no choice, over the one who made a concious decision.

And that's quite fair enough, personal opinion.

I don't feel there's a difference when in same context and magnitude.

I think we(above post and this) can agree that we disagree on the matter and that our personal opinions are different.

You think i'm saying "a lifetime of prosecution is equal to someone telling you your haircolor is bad", which is not the case.

..actually this can be pretty bad, I mean I've had stuff thrown at me (not nice stuff like marshmallows, or money either but like stones and stuff that would hurt) and been yelled at while walking down the street or on a bus it generally starts with "Oi Ginger..." then deteriorates from there.

I think any form of prejudice be it racist, sexist, disabledist (?) or what colour your hair is of if you wear glasses whatever is all hurtful depending on the level it is done to (big difference between smeone yelling a name inthe street, which tbh still makes me cry like a pussy, or actually physically attacking) because it is attacking someone over something that A) there is nothing wrong with, B) the person generally has nothing to do with choosing and cannot change it C) the attacker does not like, so really nothing at all can be done about it.

I don't like people playing the "I'm more discriminated against than you" card though, one of my managers had the gall to tell me that I didn't know what it was like to suffer discrimination...to which I pointed out I have had sexual harassment/discrimination and the attacks on myself due to sodding hair colour...she promptly shut up after that. Different people take things in different ways and somethign that would really hurt one person might be brushed off (even laughed about) by someone else but just because one person can cope with it doesnt mean that everyone else should man up and deal.

but really attacking someone because they do something a bit diferent (like for example...train spotters or *gasp* role players) generally does not have the same level of venom and spite attached to it as when people attack others for their physical/racial/whatever attributes, when that happens it is usually (and I say usually because there are always exceptions) a lot worse and goes deeper (like there is actual real hate there) than just taking the piss.

Attacking role-players is actually legal. In fact if you manage to subdue an entire room of D&D'ers, the government actually pays you cash (think its something like $300 per player, and $600 if you capture the GM)
