Benn mucking about with my new gfx card (GF3 Ti200 128mb incidentally, any shouts of "its crap" I'll fucking twat you. k thx). Found the overclocking thing you stick in regedit and I'm a bit concerned as to how far I can go without my nice shiney card exploding.

The core clock speed was 175 Mhz and is now at 190 Mhz and the memory speed was 400 Mhz and I upped that to 430 Mhz. I know is not drastic in any way, but I have no idea what I'm doing so before I do anything else I thought I'd ask you lot what you have done and the end results thereof.

The card has its own fan and a rather generous heat sink to boot. By the way, overclocking it added 64 to my 3dmark 2001 score.

Some can do 230/480 and even higher but if you keep slowly increasing and try 3DMark2001 after each adjustment just make sure you don't get tearing on the image as the card is getting too hot.

I can send you a artifact detecter if you want, you slowly increase the clock speed then this tests for artifacts(which start occouring if you've clocked your card too far). I don't know how good it is, i'm sure Embattle will tell us if its worth using or not :)

I've used an artifact checker before, they don't really show any cooling problems.

Check the thread for when I overclocked my card. That showed 0 artifacts.

You should really try running 3dMark, and watch for glitches. If you get any, turn it down again.

I personally just use my eyeballs ;)

Just remember not to do massive jumps ;)
