We really need a DECENT custom map server - other "services" do custom map servers but most are just poorly designed ones that are total crap to play - or just totally gay to certain weapons/teams. Kinda like the new office......

Anyway - come on!

I'm not paying for this service for nothing......

come on! - 20 maps isnt enough (or whatever it is) considering i have nearly 50 in the map dir......

The problem I've had is finding them.

CS_iraq, Cs_docks, cs_forest, cs_tire are on my list. Although I have the maps I need to test to see if a WAD file is needed with them. Also looking at adding more maps to this list

I did find an ftp with loads on it - i think at stomped, but it's really a matter of knowing what the good ones and the duff ones are...


Anybody got any recommendations, apart from those mentioned?

BTW - what about cs_drugwar?

ive mailed the admins/liasons numerous times asking for a custom map server.theres been loads of posts asking for a classic/custom server.youve got my vote.
wont happen for another 4 months.
i thought BW was built by gamers for gamers? then how come you havent got rid of highrise yet?
i thought sas being the CS fan that he is (reading up on SAS tactics and what not) that he would have sorted out a decent map-rotation on the servers.
im sure theres plenty of ppl willing to help test out CS maps with you

if you are voting to take highrise outta the damn server rotation then im in. its pants, as in my opinion is backally. GET RID OF THESE CRAPPY MAPS!!!!! i played on bw and the good maps, like italy and militia (its an opinion) were on for about 5 minutes before going onto backalley every damn time. stop it. stop it now, down with higrise.
