What do Hibernian's think of the morning relic raid?

As an ex-hibbie <waves> I was wondering what the majority of hibernians thought of thier realms morning relic attempt. I know that most middies dont even know who the hell took the 2 relics from hibbie and didnt like the tactic at all. We would like to see prime time raids but lets face it, it's not going to happen anymore

This isnt intended as a flame, it's meant to give those non-flaming hibbies a chance to post thier opinions without being drowned out by flames. The RvR forum is full of the usual childish and pointless posts

Come on I know there's some hibbies out there that wont be too happy with your realm using this sort of tactic.

I didn't know there was such a raid and I don't like it has hapened.

If you don't have the power to do such a raid, don't do it. Especially not if it gives others the impression we're lame sods raiding in the middle of the night. It's been spoilt for all of us.

I don't like early relic raids but i get these 2 powerrelics back without taking care of the time.After that i don't join early morning raids anymore.Expect some lamerz do it again with us.

Um. This is the first I heard of what "my realm" is doing. I very much doubt it was an actual realm effort. More like a few dozen people having a laugh. And really ...

... personally, I have nothing against people raiding at any hour the fancy takes them. However, the only thing sillier than people setting alarms to wake them for a raid and going to work/school with maybe 2 hrs of sleep is the people who get their panties in a twist and go on flaming crusades about how this is morally wrong (which it isn't) instead of just rather silly (which it is).

Point is: DAoC may simulate a war, but it's still -just- a game. Flaming over it, one way or the other, tells me the flamer is in dire need of a life. Or at least some perspective.

maybe you're regretting switching realm kami hence the bitterness? or maybe you didnt remove your account at all and now have access to your regular hib account and your illegally obtained Mid one..

Actually really having fun in midgard, but I had just as much in hibbie, There's no bitterness at all Nova, I still wave to anyone I know and see in the frontiers including Wuren, Enechanter, Corwyn, Mirhen, Laralyn, Noche etc. They were all nice to me when I was in hibbie. I changed sides because I always prefered midgard and I've never regretted it.

Only bitterness I see is from you Perhaps it's being upset that the morning raid failed, either way I wanted this thread to be about discussion and not flames which as usual it has turned into


I enjoy this game, but unlike many in every realm I remember it's just a game If you want to insult me, feel free, if you want to call me childish names, feel free. At the end of the day you just make yourself look silly.

well its true on these forums since u moved to mid u have been anti-hib, and of course id take some sort of offence because of realm lotalty etc.. i wasnt pissed off with the raid, i never thought we would get to relic, but i needed to see 'new' guard pops, mages, etc.

I support the realm I play in Nova, it's never anything personal. Still felt a bit sad when I saw some friends from Hib die in Odins last night, but guess that's war.

If the raid is to recover the 2 power relics mids took 6 AM , I see nothing wrong with it. And to any mids who comes here and laughs at us about not being able to take em back, time will say hehehe

I wouldn't PLAN a 6am relic raid, I'd go along with one if I was online at that time. Most Hibs wouldn't do that either, because when people notice it's a way easier way to get the relics, nobody will bother doing it primetime anymore, and relicraids will just become a nighttime event vs NPC's. I'm not too worried about that thappening, but it could.

And if the other realms would take our last relic at nighttime too, with 45 peeps and 20 rams, then I'd find it hard to believe it wasn't planned, but I wouldn't flame em for it. I would consider them very weak and unsportive if it was the only time they tried relic raids though.

Besides, so far Hibs have been doing fine without the relic bonuses ( ;

Most Middies feel exactly the same way as you, most of us had nothing to do with the relic raid and didnt know anything about it until someone told us to check /relic. We've all be flamed though regardless of whether we had anything to do with it. Same things now happened to the Hibbies over the latest attempt

TBH, I really couldnt give a flying fuck when we take the relic back.
But if its past 1am I wont participate, not that 1 person will make all the difference.

Mids took our relic at 6am I think its about time we did it back.

U had 40 hibs trying to get our relic.
Its not that big of a difference.
I am not flaming anyone here.
All who play are alloved to do what they like when they see fit, what ever they want, as long as they keep provideing GOA the money.
Myself i play mostly after 1 cet (i get off work at 24.00 cet), and yes i been on one late night RR, actually it was the one a few months ago when we took ur relic and lost it the next night.
It wasnt planned.
We happend to be alot of people in emain and were boored, so we pm some guys and got about 4-5 grps, got 9 rams and took the relic.
So i dont think ANY late night raids are planned, they just happen when people get boored.
And when 35-45 people take a relic its not the whole realm thats in it, most (the other 4-600) do not know anything about the raid untill later.
So i think this will happen every now and then, hopefully it will not happen more frecuently.
Sorry to have taken up ur time, but keep on playing and see u out there on the battle field =)

poppmies the "no skill" insta ae mezz useing healer.....
(like thats what we only do.. insta mezz. coz its on a "short timer" (10 mins), and after we used it we sit on our asses and rest for the 10 mins so we can use it inthe next fight...

Mids took all hib keeps first, and brought enough rams to actually take all the doors down. Hibs had 3-4 rams, and didn't take any keeps. You try getting all doors down with 40 peeps and 3-4 rams, with all relic guards there. It is not possible, and everyone knows it.
