Heya ppl . Well im getting tired of standing at beno//Cs saying LFG on my wiz:( I love my wiz to bits and has been my fav char to rvr with since i started this game (Only got 3 lvl 50's :| Wiz//Necro//Scout). But am rly bored of trying to get a grp invite or trying to form one with no sucess , so im willing to roll a new RvR toon more fotm//favorable for you guys (Anything just to get some more grp rvr action tbh). So i ask you guys , what exacly should i roll , what would get more invites from you ppl , be it pick up grps or what ever. Merc?Pala?Arms? , Sorc?Caba?Theu? , Anything but a healer , tryed before and i suck at healing. Would prefer to play a caster (Cause what im used to).

Any input from ppl who play these classes would be great.

Thx in advance:drink: .

Friar would be #1 as people seem to always need them when filling up groups.
But since you don't want a healer I'd suggest a Cabby/Sorc/Theurg atleast if you cannot get groups then you can solo.

caster wise, pretty much, yes. those are the most powerful and versatile casters in albion hence they are the most wanted.

tank-ish wise id say, bg pally or bg friar is whats most needed. rly hard to find bg friars atm. merc is the old standby and yes they are needed but at sametime there is already alot around, besides merc rly aint much fun these days (imo). armsman still need to do a bit to establish thier credentials in grp rvr, they are much more useful than they were but players need prove it.

interrupt bot wise, heretic is fotm but hopefully reavers will start getting more invites soon, a well played reaver really is an asset to any grp, caster or melee.

are mercs set to die out?

comparably how do mercs and arms fare dps wise- taking into account celerity will the arms be higher?

and 2h or pole?

with celerity 2h/pole arms dps should be about same as merc with celerity, if they get banelord as a 3rd line then yes i think light-tanks are dead.

arms = same dps(with celerity), more hps, more magic resists, more af/abs, better grp ra's + group purge on top ...

We ran a group tonight with three wizards in it.

Aye i realy dont wanna :| , but can be a tad frustrating when all i wanna do is rvr with my time but unable to get a grp. Granted i've only just got back and ppl dont know me or of me , still lowbie rr (Well just not long dinged rr4 /bow/salute/hug to Kzn//Gobo//Onlyme and crew for inv me to that group the other night). I dunno :s i will probly stick with my wizzie (as ive just sorted a nice new template out) .

Not quite sure, but they seem to lose interest in whatever class I roll :<

Keep an eye out for tbc guys who run groups.

Don't run very often but they are great bunch of guys. Ask them for an invite and say Lorimez sends his regards :)

Hopefully the odd group (we aren't opted but we makes rpees and enjoy ourselves - so if ya want leet then we aint for you) will have spots for you :)

Stick with it - I personally love wizzies - especially when they nick my deathblow by nuking from 50000000 range, after having spent the best part of 30s chasing and tanking someone :)

Best of luck

sorc,cleric,friar,merc,heretic,cabalist and theurgist

in the future we mights see ..
paladins, wizards and armsmen(depending on what MLs they will get as a third line).

so quite alot to choose from if yah wanna go FG RvR as an Alb :]

I think after the next patch wizard might be more wanted. With their debuff nuke they'll be hitting for similar amounts to a debuffing tri-spec cabby, and harder overall once you factor in bolts against casters, so they might take the spots in caster groups.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to what other people think; the important thing is that you enjoy the class you are playing. People change their mind about what classes are "required" to make a good group, and with Mythic revamping most of them you never know what the next fotm will be.

Instead of rerolling I think you should try to find a guild that does RvR on a regular basis and where you can find action for you wiz.

Please dont roll BG friar, ive been playing one for 2 years now, no matter how long you stand there you dont get a group, unless its a random group which you dont kill anything with, nothing wants to duo with you as you have no major utility for em etc etc.. Hence why there are very few friar's everyone just gets pished off..

Konah, did you test it? I had the same DPS as a Merc on my HO 2H Armsman with free 401 strength and top ToA template self-hastened pre-patch as a Merc. I did some tests with celerity and haste and the speed was so sick I ran out of endurance after a few swings.

I have to assume 5.8 poles with 20% haste, celerity, 250 quickness and 10% melee speed using Defender's Rage with 1.2 growth rate easily outdamage a Merc.

I never was a big fan of double Merc in a group, think Merc/Arms works better, but back there most of the Arms on Prydwen were in gimped templates or S/S.
