right im just about to start the cam , what class would be best to play for lets say soloing pve and pvp and also still be welcome in a group at some point

Minstrel probably, get buffed up soon don't they? I dunno I don't even play the game anymore. But I'd say minstrel.

Minstrel sound good, got speed, melee dmg, deasent armour, dds, stun, mezz and stealth, nearly evrything you want in a char, only thing he needs is buffs and heals.

I have a 24 Supp boney,

He is nice at pve (get mcl!)
Whoops ass at pvp,

Grouping, not sure.. as i usally solo.

Mincer, Necro and Animist imo, animist's do 70% of a groups pull when pets are buffed.
