I realise this should be in the sports forum but it's more about beauracracy than anything else and racism and hooliganism is nothing to do with sport.

Once again a few paltry amounts get handed out as 'fines' and nothing is done about the real problem at hand. What good does an £11,000 fine do to prevent racism and hooliganism? Frankly I just think it's completely laughable, these teams should be docked points in the qualifiers, forced to play a game behind closed doors and fined each time there is a disturbance at a match of this magnitude, instead they get off lightly with a fine that is equal to nothing more than a slap on the wrist for a country like Italy.

Docking points is a bit hard on the players and coach I think. Yes it will strike back at the fans causing the trouble, but it would be heartbreaking for the players who are the ones that earn those points. I think banning fans (as in no sepctators at all, TV only matches) is the way to go.

It's the FA of the country who are responsible for dealing with their fans, if they don't do it properly then you punish them.
