CNBC films 10 meters from my desk several times a week... to avoid issues like this, they have 3-4 members of staff all around to ensure no one walks in front of camera and that all the traders that are visible behave. Oh, and there's a 5 second feed delay too just in case someone wants to be fired!
When I worked for the beeb back in the very first days of BBC online, our office was in the background of News 24; we were spotted drinking champagne in the back of the live broadcast when we were supposed to be working (I think we'd managed to switch a server on or something and were celebrating). Because of that (and because bloody Paxman complained about the noise), they moved us right into the bowels of television centre not long afterwards
