I've found the same thing when playing as TR, there's very little organised resistance. Get your arses together fs!1! (Not a flame).

well the thing in TR is that ppl dosent stick together as a squad

80% of the squads i join turns in to total chaos everyone running in diffrent directions even been in squads that split up in to 3 diffrent bases

well i have stoped joining random squads and only play with friends or ppl i know are orginized and play as a team

example of a recently nightmare squad
inf me
1 mosq
1 reaver
sun driver
rest ordinary soldiers

what happen when we get to the base
there is 1fs NC there they back in to CC and camp it after my first hack so we have +-10 NC at CC
the mosq and reaver pilot refuses to help at CC coz they are pilots not grunts!!! (no enemys outside at all)
the sun driver yelling for gunners so 2 guys jumps in ,,, they have nothing to shoot at no enemys around at all exept for the NC at CC ,,, hey u guys go and hack CC (sun driver are SL)
well i kindly explain to him that we cant take a camped CC with 5ppl u all have to help .... once more i hear ...hey the rest go and cap the damn base ,,, pilots are still scared to get mud on there lovley pilot boots so i recal to sanc ...

the SL /t me and call me a looser that ruined the exp and team play he also tells me that i suck at my job as an INF ...

would love to see the inf that can get true 10ppl camping a CC

TR I have encountered so far played more than well... had a great three way fight on Solsar yesterday (during a sandstorm - teh win) and some nice guerilla kind of skirmishes in the woods of Hossin... can't moan about TR at all.

The TR squads I have encountered have included some very sharp players, as has NC & my own side Vanu. Of course, as with any game that brings hundreds of personalities together, there are always some pillocks

Case in point on the nice guys out there. Me (combat eng/inf) stuck in a base with a hell of a lot of traffick from main door through to upstairs (the base type with the med term & equip term opposite one another, with the main door downstairs) So I'm kinda stuck by the equip terminal.
I hacked that, got some ACE's and planted a boomer by the exit door, right btwn the terminals. Then crawled to the other side of the room and waited. Anyway, I repeated this planting & hacking for more ammo and must've killed 10 ish TR's who after the first couple were running round like mad chickens spraying the room with fire.
It was great fun, and made the night for me, even when I got darklighted and killed in one hit
Then Dingo (TR) sent me a /tell saying how he was well impressed & how nice a weapon & tactic it was - well, you couldn't get that smile off my face

(and for those not 100% sure, yeah, I'm kinda bragging - but this was the first time I'd ever got boomer's to work. When you fire them there's no explosion graphic, so I was sure they didn't do anything, until last night - since none of my other tools work indoors 'cept motion sensors, I didn't have much else to play with, lol)

Yet again, another story from me about how much fun I'm having with PS - soz folks, but these situations make this game for me

Anyway, grats to Dingo - and matey, if you read this - change that darklight implant next time you pass through the Sanc, I could've still been there!

I wouldn't say any empire is better/worse just depends who you meet on the battlefield.

I play 99% in outfit squads. Was on early today though and no one was on, got into a pickup group and found the same thing. We had 1 base on the continent, we took the tower next to it then one ran off to another base just as we got hacked. I said we've been hacked and the rest of the group went to yet anohter base leaving me to try and kill a max and a grunt. Needless to say i didn't do to well against the max, the tower then got hacked so i gave up and logged off. I was doing better on my own before i joined the squad but i can't do bugger all to a max.

I've never played in a non-outfit squad, ever. If I don't play im my outfit I play solo plenty of valid solo specs in this game

Fact is I can't imagine the nightmare of playing in a pickup grp, this game is such a military simulation that it don't feel right playing out of your recognised command.

How strange that people are saying the Vanu are 'teh zerg' When i WAS going to post a similar thread about the NC being massive zergers.....

...but then i realised that stupid pathetic words like 'teh zerg' are for the twats still in DAOC land. It's a different game and much more of a war sim than DAOC will ever be.

Oh and while im having a little dig...do any NC actually use training grounds and learn the game? Or do they just spam the fire button on their jackhammers and know they'll take down several people using 0 skill?

also the thing about needing 200 people to take a tower lmao....it aint anywhere near that figure ofc but if u have handled VS weapons u will understand the need to double up

If you're not getting a challenging enough fight try moving on, I know of at least 3 combat groups who wont get rolled over easily. One of the things I have noticed is the hot spot view doesn't always give a good idea of the fighting, we fought for a base for a good 2hrs a few nights back but because it was all centered round one spot there would only be 2-3 flashes on the map in one corner and it looked like an isolated strike.

all outfit squads we have a generaly very well organised

and ive had plenty of good pickup squads - and a few bad ones

im sure all 3 factions have plenty of well organised people and plenty of headless chickens.
