Martin Amis is one of my favourite authors and that just adds to it. 'Liberal scum' or not, he pretty much echos my sentiments.

What I've read doesn't suggest they necessarily share views, but they both have a writing style that seems to draw you in very easily to subjects, even extremely esoteric ones in Martin's case.
