weird problem with daoc

When SI was released my friend tried to make a briton reaver and found that he crashed whenever he tried to play it. I believe he would have to fully reinstall daoc after each crash. Necros were fine, but reavers = no no. He has other briton chars and they are fine.

A few months later he tried to make a Troll (skald I think) and had the same problem. Skalds were fine, but no Trolls.

Now he can't make a half ogre w/out this happening...

Any idea what is wrong?
