Wednesday Night Desert Combat

I will be hosting a Desert Combat game every Wednesday, having played the latest edition I can say I am completely hooked, I only wish I could land a helicopter without rolling it over 3 times.

blackhawk? pah! I would take a Hind and few team players any day of the week. Im more than happy to play the opp. force. although i dont like the way the maps always have them on the defence.

hmm wonder if you can fly the helecopters round and round in circles like we do with the planes...

So far I have only managed to make the helcopter spin of the map.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of DC, but like the early alphas of Counter-Strike, here's a perfect example of how DC will be even better once they have fine-tuned the vehicles...

Place a Bradley APC and an Iraqi tank facing each other. They fire at each other as fast as they can. The tank has to wait for shells to load, the bradley has a rapid-firing turret gun. Why does the Bradley waste the tank?!

If I have to land in a tight space (like on a road between 2 mountains) I sometimes use the outside view, but then theres the risk the the chopper rolling at the last min.

The AC-130 is rock, (when you have people who know how to work it...........)

The pilot should get credit for the kills too imho.(my score would have been well over 60 in that case).

As i said in game its a nice toy just a shame im too stupid too look at the map then i wouldnt have been blowing all my bloody team mates.

Thing is with that weapon is you dont even have to get too close to the thing your firing at, the blast radius will blow any tank up in one shot. IMO it need tuning and turning down a bit.

much to strong, it can handle 3 planes crashing into it and then fall from the sky and it still doesnt blow up

Planes crashing into it do virtually no damage, however the guns from the fighters, especially the minigun type ones that buzz, can knock it down in 2 or three seconds.

heh I chased it for about 5 minutes in the chopper, whacked rockets into as fast as I could and it just flew on killing people, bastard plane.....

Still I landed the chopper, which makes me happy.
