weaponskill advice - hero

thinking about using the single respec on my hero to go from 28 parry to 28 spear for the snare behind chain..

with a total of 28 + 11 + 3 = 42 spear, would it be enough to do decent dmg?

tbh I dont think it will, and s/s hero is abit gimp spec imo . Couse low dmg unless u use galla sword drop , tehn u do some dmg. But imo the best spec to go now is 50 LW/CS -42 sheild -39 BLADE/BLUNT/PIERCE and 6 parry! Couse higher weapskill gives better chance to land a slam etc.

parry and such isnt it fixed to work better in rvr in 1.62 ?

my hero is 50 shield 50 pierce 28 parry atm. got sc armor that max both pierce and cs, and got galla piercer and galla spear. when going offensive (which isnt very often) or trying to stop a tank chasing a grp member, the CS snare could be really useful since pierce line is lacking a snare style.. just wondering if my style bonus would be like

Hit for 200 (+7)
or more like 300 (+100)

It wouldn't surprise me if the damage turns out to be very similar.
As for snareing the one running away, I would rather rely on PF, since the style snare will be broken by any additional damage.

50 Weapon is the only viable spec in rvr, otherwise your just gimped.
with 50+13 Blunt my WS is 1701 buffed, which aint that bad.

Im gonna do a Luri hero, But havnt a clue what spec to use for him, I know most of you will say luri hero no point, But i really wanna do one

hehe yep if u stand infront of target, as a hero or grp person how many times do u stand infront of a tank in a battle ? how many times u do u need ur slam to go in u need to think of that and imo 39 blade

The link between 1h wep skill and shield is a myth which has grown up for some reason.

Mythic posted to VN boards that shield has its own wep skill independent of 1h wep skill.

Therefore if you want your slams to land go 50 shield - many peeps are going 50CS or LW and 50 Shield.

It is up to the individual what they want to spec in 1h and parry after that. Some go for high parry for defense in duels and pve but I agree in rvr parry isnt really needed much. Others spec higher in 1h for pve and for rvr for defense and for bubble bursting and for more damage in general.

ie Hero specs can vary and doesnt mean they are all uber or gimped imo.

All melee style snares are supposed to work in this patch BUT they all break on damage.
