Just wondering when I should swap from one weapon to another.

Currently I'm at 426 WC, 426 LW and 424 MW and I swapped from crafting Fine Alloy Daggers (415) to Fine Alloy Short Swords (435) and after 6 sucessful Short Swords I have yet to gain a point in anything. Am I just being incredibly unlucky or did I swap too soon ?

think its the same with ac, i made loads af 102 orange studded coifs at the time i skilled up, without a single skillup. Even think it was more... cant remember atm tho.

I seemed to gain a lot more doing the blue con stuff - should I have kept on with em for a while ?

got wc on my pala.. sometimes i bought 1000 bars and got like 1 or 2 points.. thats after 550

well, generally speaking i think its the best to do yellow/orange

Yellow: you gain often enough so you dont think your wasting money

Orange stuff, you gain more often (each item), but it takes longer and you fail more and the items are abit more expensive (+ the occasional loss)

Blue items, well, you gain less skillups than the other 2, but its alot cheaper.

Which ever you choose it ends up with the same cost in the end in my experience

Bah - at this rate it will need about 3 days to get to 500

It cost me 3.8 P and 16 days of crafting now and then to get 1100 AC. (would guess 1 day played or so) skilled all the way on orange studded.

Ohh might note, from 700-900 i used asterite from salvaged stuff \edit

After Studying the tradecraft forums i came up with the following leveling plan trying to skill on the weapons i lost least with when selling back to merchants, it worked for me.

x30 short sword
x50 trident
x70 spiked axe
x80 small shields

Do those weaps at each tier and yes farm where ever you can for asterite for the 730 - 829 stint

It'd be interesting to see crafters logs on skill gain wrt item resale loss.

It's just a feeling I got when crafting, but for some reason, shields seemed to provide fewer skill gains as compared to the other weapons.

think its best to skill up on shields, theyr very cheap to make
