Wats best 1.3 or 3.1?

I am a old player of DoD back in the day but i still think 1.3 has been the best ever Verson of DoD wat do you guys say

I couldn't tell you what was the best version, but I have spoken before about how DoD has turned into a camp fest with recent updates.

Heh. Good question.

On the whole, I prefer 3.1. 1.3 had that bizarre prone bug which allowed you to run off before the whistle had been blown, so to speak. Also, the K98 was horribly over-powerful back then. I remember running about dod_Seg3 (I miss that map ) with a Kar and killing everything I bumped into. Everyone was doing it...

i liked the dod 1.3 maps but yeah the prone bug was a pain , got to admit if the bug was not there i would prefer dod 1.3

Although ever since 2.0 it's looked more professional and real, it's jyst not got the fun of 1.3.

2.1 for me, by a good mile Im afraid. 1.3 always seemed pretty clonky, no recoil, prone bug, all that.
The garrand owned on 1.3 too, unstoppable 3.0/3.1 are pretty similar to 2.0/2.1, but the para maps for me mean that for me the best is the 2.x series.
Tell you what, I miss Snowtown though !

I think I'm with Throddy on this one (again). The prone bug and almost zero recoil problem ruined 1.3, and when 2.x came out with those problems fixed it seemed like a major improvement.
But to be honest I'm happy with 3.1 atm. DoD is by no means a camp fest (not when I play it anyway) and I find it far more fun to play in its current mode than virtually anything else online.

The only things that annoy me about DoD is my ping (56k'er) and those fucking stupid airstrikes on Caen.

heh the lag off that Garrand before was a bitch, the Carbine isnt a bad gun from my point, and them nades are gits to get right, for me, they end up rebounding off a wall and comin back to me :/

I just played DoD for the first time tonight....

I have no idea where any of the bullets come from and I spend most of my time spawning

don't even mention the vast array of players to choose from ....

I tried to spade a couple of bastards...but kept gettng sniped :/

I "spaded" someone earlier, first time ive done it in DoD some sniper picking off my friends so i walloped him one!

And you are correct dear boy, its an absolute git when you dont know where the f00k you where shot from, unlike CS, it dont allow you to see where the enemy was hiding.

I find the Player selection pretty easy, its a lot easier than the TFC Classes

The thing you have to remember about DoD is that the maps must be learnt in order to play the advantages. After a while of playing you will learn that the bastard who's camping with a sniper rifle can only be shooting you from a select few locations, and you will learn where these are depending on which part of the map you keep dying in.

Also, there are loads of routes on the DoD maps and the amount of times I've snuck up on the aforementioned cunt and twatted him with a knife or the shovel boggles the mind.

DoD plays far more realistically than CS ever will, and a medium grasp of fire and movement tactics, use of cover and, dare I say it, TEAMWORK, will see your side owning to the nth degree.

Stick with it m8

Yeah.. its true o Say DoD Maps are like Mazes, your continously getting lost when you take a wrong turn, you end up at the otherside of the Map.. where you dont wanna be heh
