Water - reflection update

Ok in options i have 3 options for reflection update

often
occasional
seldon

very silly question but which one would give best quality ?

not worrying about performance.

take a wild guess.
if you didn't guess "Often" on the first try, guess again untill you do.

Best quality comes from "High Quality Reflection" and "Update Often". Still seems to run ok on my Ti4200.

I don't get any reflection at all....
New fancy trees, beautiful new landscapes of Avalon...
But no realistic shadows or reflective water :(


Guess "GForce 2MX" might have something to do with that though, which may be as well.
It would choke and die trying to render that.

You're correct. the MX range of Geoforces don't support it.

and neither does GeForce 2 for that matter, however deluxe uber super killer evil hardcaore it may be :)

Only high end GF3's (I think) and GF4's support it. And the latest ATi stuff too.

All GeForce3s and the high-end GeForce4s (that is, any GF4 that does NOT have MX in the model designation) have hardware DirectX support and nice shiny water.
