Ok I have a faint idea, get a graphics card with tv out, get some wire, plug it in.

Is this the ONLY way? Because I have no TV out on my graphics card, although its a gf4 ti4200 :(

Im wondering if this is the only way, which wires do I need? And any software? Also can I view games and stuff on the TV? I can get a 16mb card with TV out ( I think it has tv out anyway) for the dvd playing if this is the only way :)

Yeah the only realistic way of seeing your desktop on your TV is to buy a new card with TV-Out.

You can buy the cables you need in any remotely electronics related store like Curry's, Comet etc. They sell little kits with a SCART splitter (if your TV doesn't have S-Video in), S-Video cable and an RCA cable. I don't use the RCA plugs and just use my PC speakers though, much less hassle.

The software you need is all included in recent Detonator or Catalyst drivers. Takes a bit of fiddling around to get it working right. When it's working your desktop will display on your TV just like your monitor. One of the best features is allowing video overlay so whenever you play a movie in a window it'll automatically full screen on the TV.
