May have already been posted a while back I don't remember.

What classes you all chosing for pvp?

I thought of Enchanter/Zerker duno yet.

But more than anything Luri Zerker would rock! :D shame we cant have it :), Luri Armsman would look so cool too.

Was thinking of, norse SB or Dwarf zerker, dunno exactly but i got a few idea's on what chars to pick for ownng peeps :p

Im still gonna play on pryd though, will only really go on pvp server when im bored etc.

Everyone seems to be going zerker/chanter/skald/infil etc, so I'm considering going for a scout or *shock* a rejuv cleric :p

I'm afraid a lot of people are gonna be greatly disappointed when the final PvP servers are opened. A lot of people seem to expect a whole lot of it, and judging by posts on the VN boards (and by the poor amount of people inhabiting US PvP servers), these servers aren't as much fun as everyone seems to think by far. The idea might be great, but how it has been worked out by Mythic certainly isn't. I've posted some links to threads regarding PvP servers below:

To be perfectly honest I dont expect everyone to play PvP as much and as long as we have played PvE with RvR because its really not daoc to me and some people, i will give it a go of course i might be wrong but judging from those threads I think I might be sadly right.

Interesting post Eynar - the first thread was actually informative - amazing for VNU boards :)

I have already spotted what looks like groups killing each other for free RP's :(

It truly is a gankfest at the moment - most fights go like this - a kills b - c and d kill b - e,f and g join in etc.

Lots of people seem to take off the safety at level 1 and then get repeatedly ganked.

One hit kills are the norm.

Keep your initial bind point (i.e at trainer) unless your headed to another realm - it should be fairly safe to release to unlike most bind stones.

I noticed a couple of chanters, waiting by the side-exit of TNN and ganking anyone that leaves. Turning into the US PvP with every passing hour.



By far the funniest sight was a Firbolg Guardian, being chased by a Luri-Stalker! :D

I suspect PvP server will get more interesting a few months down the line when people get bored and it empties out a bit, so you can head over there with some friends and have a chance of finding some quiet xp spots.

im with linnet.. no way im going there until its settled down and become "quiet", then you can play for fun with your friends .. try out some classes and stuff....

went today.
rolled a gimpmaster and xp'd him to lvl 3.
then 2 lvl 2's come up and try to hit me..so i turn safety off and teach them not to try it against orange cons...unfortunately i didn't know you COULDNT turn it back on again.

result??? every time i go exping near some mobs some bloody chanter nukes me while im sat down resting. i hd to group up to get to 5.

then i had to run "the gauntlet" outside TNN as the group were pounding away at people.
in the end i finally made enough to meet some friends in Albion and me and 3 trolls set off to kill some Albs.

basically every few seconds someone would come up and try to kill me and they would gank them.
no matter where you went a purple con caster would nuke you to death if he could.

and basically it was pure chaos....deleted test characters not going to PvP again...

its pretty crap imo i wouldnt have thought ud get people xp killing greys.. but happens all the time and the con loss when a player kills u means ur always too broke to buy equip :( lol and enchanters OMG its so annoying suddenly ur nuked .. by a red con hilly.. i mean grrr :p
edit: oh yea and i play a friar :rolleyes:

I were testing PvP and started o think about it, endgame "normal" daoc = RvR/epic mobs etc
I dont see the endgame changeing that much in PvP except that you will be poor..

alot of ppl will get to 50 and quit, I wont waste time on it...

pvp: 30% chanter - 30% assassin and 40% for the remaining 28 classes. no comment, i dont like it really :)

On the main PvP server i'm gunna roll a Zerker

I hate Air-theus. Before you know what's happend, a small zerg is beating on you and you're helpless against it :mad:

My sorcerer managed to solo an orange-chanter, that taught him to hide behind a box and using his pet to kill.

A Mentalist, with, Dot's for Dot and runs :) and Mezz for escaping with, They also have mana regen, and can heal

they also have severing the tether, which you should buy as soon as you can.

lol yea another bad thing about pvp you kill someone and they dont like it have to take being whined at or of course use /ignore :) and ive changed my mind if i play pvp at all has to be a shammy :clap:

NERF MINESWEEPER!!! u have to choose between one square and another.. u always pick the wrong one!!!! :( im off to play with my building blocks at least there reliable :(
