well on the subject of more reasonable price, Gizmodo's HotUKDeals daily pimp points towards cdkeys.com where Wasteland 2's CD Key, redeemable via Steam, is £13.99 today. £13.29 if you're prepared to like cdkeys.com on facebook

Oh i wans't talking about scams, but it's quite possible the cdkey sources get their keys from unreliable sources. Think it was one of the sniper series games that had 200k or so cd keys sold, which turned out to be stolen and invalidated with no refund.

It was only 7000 keys. They were stolen from some retailer and sold on to a lot of the cheap 3rd party key sites who aren't licensed directly by the developer and as you say, don't always ask where the keys came from.

Anyway still too much, but yeah, just have to make sure it's lisenced but i still prefer the source if t all possible.
