Was it real or did I dream it?

It's been a long night, with a fair splashing of Absolute vodka, and Kenny has disappeared to play Doom of the Quake Strike, or some such, and so I have gotten to the drunken musing stage, and I wished to share. The catagory is, as the title states,

Was it Real or Did I Dream it?

Was there a game on the Spectrum of Count duckula where, if you mashed the keyboard, it turned into Revenge Of The Banana Milk?

Was there an episode of Dr Who where old people ate other people, then liquidised them in a food crusher in the sink? I think it was set in a hotel in space.

Was there ever a kids tv programme involving a flying yellow bus?

Is Dale Winton actually straight?

Please, someone, set my mind at ease. And if anyone else has the same such worries about things, I would love to hear them...

Flame away, as you like, but I must warn you... I'm probably highly flammable at the moment, and you may risk losing eyebrows....

YES! I can't stand Doctor Who but that episode is the only one I remember. I think you're talking about the episodes where the building was 'alive' (kinda) and had to be fed people. Two rival clans were trying to put each other into the waste disposal units.

It had The Architect in it (played by Richard Briars) who was a baddy all along and then you find out that he's afraid of his creation and has to feed it. In the end he gets 'eaten' by the building himself, as is the way of these things

I was young when it was on and it scared the pants off me, whilst at the same time being really fascinating. Here were all these people trapped in a single building trying to feed each other to it. :/ There were some old people and others who weren't part of any clan, as I recall but they were just as weird anyway.

As for your other questions, you dreamt it.

What was the programme with the flying yellow bus called? NOBODY else has ever remembered it even existing.

That would make sense.... a school bus.... that was magic.... the magic school bus.... I was blinded by its simplicity.

Here's another one that has been really bugging me, and nearly got me tested for drugs on new years eve (Millenium Night). Wasn't the Eiffel Tower meant to lay an egg? I came home, admittedly a little steaming, and was disappointed that the Eiffel Tower hadn't layed an egg. Anyone remember that?

The one that I thought I had dreamt, or gone mad and imagined was "Chockys Children" - every person I had asked about it in the last 5 years has looked at me like I was on acid, but a close friend of mine said she reemmbered it recently :)

I tend to dream things that I then see later on, objects, places, events.

"Alice In Wonderland" was shown twice on terrestrial TV over the holidays. Most people I know have seen it but I can imagine trying to explain it to someone who hasn't...
The most fucked up thing I've ever watched; makes your average dream seem normal.

Heh... Cheers Recoil anyway :)

Who on earth came up with the total Cheeching idea of having the Eiffel tower lay an egg full of glowing nine foot fish heads anyway? No wonder my parents thought I was a crack child, drunkingly demanding to see the non existant egg.

Anyway, my soul is now purged of these little nuggets of infomation I held that made me question my sanity. The Eiffel Tower WAS meant to lay an egg, Count Duckula did occasionly moonlight as a bottle of banana milk, Dale Winton is missing, presumed gay, a yellow bus did fly on tv, and old women did shove hapless space tourists down the sink. Hurrah!

And Embattle, do you really have The Dreams? I have an exceptionally high gullibility rating, so I need verification.

Dale Winton is gay. He came out about 6 weeks ago. Not that it was any great surprise.
