Warrior or Zerker Race

Hiya,

I have so far leveled mainly stealthers, seers or casters but never a tank. I'd like to make one mainly for fun in PvE as not that much of a RvR fan atm.

What class would be best out of a Warrior or Zerker to make it a fun toon to play and level, later on helping in guild hunts. (Race suggestions too, wondering about dorfs or kobbies mainly)

(will be buffed by my shammy and will be leveling with a aug healer too)

I would pick Troll Sword Warrior for RvR, insane weaponskill combined with a very slow 2H Sword and a Ragnarok.

+12 Str creation and Aug Str 2 = fully buffed to 400 Str

Can you say OUCH!

As already said, kobbie warrior.

I was farming seals with my warrior (axe) and shammie, pulled the 2 umbros at the doorway where Ukobat walks through.

And he did, I was tanking all 3 no problem at all.

Took a while to kill all 3

Im kinda of annoyed with all this 'kobold warrior' thing going around, they are not all they are cracked up to be.

For many reasons i suggest being a Norse or Dwarf(since they are much the same) Warrior. Honsetly id love someone to check it out on how much more a kobold blocks than a Norse, come on its only 20 dex in the difirence, while you lose 20 str and 20 con by being kobold versus Norse.

I have a Troll Sword warrior at the moment, and to be honest, hes a PvE nightmare, simply because of the no to-hit on the taunt, but thats getting changed, he blocks quite often, ok not as much as norse/kobold but i expect i will hit far harder.

Hammer is good for PvE and RvR to a lesser extent (snare style), Sword good for RvR quite shite for PvE, and Axe is somewhere inbetween.

So basically what im saying is, for RvR Troll/Norse/Dwarf warrior, for PvE Norse/Dwarf.

I personally just cannot see the gain in 20 extra dex(kobold) over 20 less con and str(Norse) or 30 less con and 10 less str(Dwarf). Qui is negilible

Well dont agree with Qui is negilible , i dont bring a warrior to do uber damage I want warrior to go both ways both defencive and offencive. Here is where PF comes in so swing time is dex + qui more swings more pf. Is not all about frontload damage then we be runing groups of 3 troll warriors with 40 qui using 2h. Now savages dont have PF so warrior is left doing the defencive job IF needed in rvr My pick is kobie warrior but we all think diff .

I heard PF was bugged and it procced all the time, so that makes me think that dex wont affect it. And the part about Qui, how much faster is 20 qui going to make, especially in these days with uber buffs, and SC suits, id imagine a Norse could easily get 250 quickness which is the haste cap. After 250 quickness you dont get any more haste affect

im norse, started with 10con 10 dex 5str/quik under the assumption cap wouldnt get removed
if you go norse 10str/con/dex is the way to go, i got 317 (12ra)dex buffed, 223quik, 353(6ra)str and 333con
best allround stats around imo, the only advantages of kobbies are more dex (but not a 'must' to block since u already have high) and 5%energy racial for alb cc(sorc)
dwarf warrior would be a mistake, your already on tank hp table, no need for that extra 10 con, better to take a norse then. Trolls have higher ws but warrs arent meant to do massive dmg, so my suggestion would be a norse

for the weapon, i myself am axe, maybe not best styles but i like the line and its neutral dmg, hammer would be best prolly for conquer, sword is deffo no for warriors, ur a guarder, thats what you are invited for, you dont start to go 2h all the time when ppl are assisting on healer, and ragnarok is overrated imo.
