I dunno there's only so much time you can spend polishing before you go blind... erm...
I don't think it's EA pressure (or at least if it is it's not just EA pressure) - the team has been working towards this deadline for a while - they've cut out 4 classes that either weren't fun or had a massive amount of artwork etc. still to go on them, and reduced the cities down to 2 (though it's 2 big ass cities with a lot in them, rather than 6 'meh' cities, so I'm going to side with Mark Jacobs on that being a net win, even if I do want to see what's behind those stupidly huge doors in Stonewatch).
I think it'd have been pretty demoralising for the team to delay yet again when the game is shippable (perfect? no, but certainly very fun to play) - this wasn't the case 6 months or even a year ago. Nothing helps you work harder than a big looming deadline, and it's nice to be able to go out and celebrate a launch too
I have read this several times already... It seems the game is already in a very polished state as an MMO-to-be-released? I hope we can all confirm this on the 18th september
