Hey guys, I was wondering... Question for beta testers in fact. How accessible would you think WAR is, for people new to the MMO scene? I have some RL friends considering WAR... But they have never played any other MMO before.
Any good tutorials? Decent interface layout? etc etc.

It's the same for all players, Easy to play - Hard to master. But the same thing applies to all players newbies and veterans.

Take up from "zero" MMO experience should be very good. The quest system is very good and has a group quest share system. Those two things together mean a lot of people will be taking their time to fully enjoy the "world" and the arcing quest lines which would be perfect for introducing n00bs to the genre.

The WAR world is very true to the vision of Games Workshop in all its quirky, darkly humourous joy. There its lots in there to hook total noobs to either Warhammer or MMO's or both. People with a little gaming experience will love the interface and TT Warhammer types dipping their toes in the WAR MMO world will be delighted with what they see and want to stay.

Once they get to know about Trainers, Quest givers, merchants and armour/weapons, basic things to most MMOs, the rest is very intuative.

Quests tell you on the map the areas they are in, PQs tell you how many of which mob needs to be killed, Styles all have tool tips on what they do, how much damage/healing they do, their cooldown ect. On the character screen each stat, Str ect tells you what they do for you (ie. +100 DPS from styles) so once they know their roles in a group it will be easy for them to see what weapons armour they want.

Game has taken best bits of DAoC and WoW in terms of playability so shouldn't be a problem for your friends.

In my humble opnion, the more new players the better IF the more experienced players are giving a helping hand WHEN ASKED for it :)
You or me cant help if not asked, which is the first step into a MMO, in my opinion..communication.
Sometimes, offering company (not help, no one accepts help easy) is a good thing aswell, to easy new players into a game.
