Hi guys,
some of you older folk (fellow members of DS, TF, TJD etc etc) may remember me from my days as uber lpb defender for DS (he said hoping to add some credibility to himself hehehehe.
I now work as test manager in the leisure industry (read games) and I have been charged with populating our test department with those worthy of the challenge
I'm looking for people - probably just out of college / school looking for there first job to test games for a living.
This is an entry level office based position inside the m25 @ the surrey area. (Can't be more specific than that at the mo).
You will have a passion for games, hopefully be quite good at them
have played on multiple formats (consoles etc) and have a genuine interest in working towards a quality product being placed in your local games shop.
What i need you to do, is to email me, tell me what you know about games and why you think you should be employed as a games tester.
I'm also looking for Team leaders who will look after 5-6 games testers, you will have some experience in games testing and preferably some experience in managing others.
The areas lwe are ooking to recruit for are 'evaluation' - you will have worked in the games industry before and will be responsible for constructive critism of the game eg the weapons too big on screen, rockets move too slowly etc.
'functionality' - testing most elements of the game to ensure a quality product is released. Entry level people will start in this dept.
other areas where you may be included - 'technical' applying different drivers and checking game performance etc.
If this sounds of interest then drop me a line on the enclosed email address with either a cv (for those who have worked already in the industry) or a note of your personal details (date of birth, contact details and why we should employ you / your gaming knowledge and experiences).
Look forward to hearing from you guys.
Peter
