anything that needed paper I can use my PDA - I don't carry a map round london I use my iPaq - I don't need to scribble down hotel reservation details as I can carry the original email in Outlook..

coupled with my bluetooth phone I can do everything I used my laptop for really :)

I wanted one a few years back but decided it would just be an expensive toy that I would get bored of.

Please tell me :)

If you're honest you must have lost lots of valuable data when windows gives you a BSOF and you end up re-installing everything.

My point is a pda is not a computer that you constantly change & tinker, I find PDA's are very useful for storing logins & passwords for lots of different websites barrysworld for eg.

I have a load of network tools on mine - ping, finger, traceroute, telnet, etc. Brill to be able to just connect via DHCP, and diagnose/synchronise and generally bugger about on the network from any point on campus.
