Not tried it myself, its not WoW and thats all my game playing criteria right now, but ready to help a Freddy in need (especially if all I have to do is cut n paste someone's PM).

Unlike Planetarion this web based game is free and has no adverts.

The game is all done online and basically through statistics where you get resources, build and research new space ships and then attack other players for more resources to get even more ships to become number one!

"problem" with these games is that your planet or colonie or whatever your running can be destroyed while you are logged off. Atleast that was the case with planetarion, so its (or atleast was) possible to log off and then 10 hours later find out your planet has been bashed to the stone ages.
There are similar games that has a cap on how much can be destroyed in one attack though and its possible that you dont mind losing your planet .
