As far as I know it is...but then I'm pretty much a noob in taht area too

Yeah, it's much better than ISDN.

ie: 60k/s+ downloads on ADSL/Cable and 8k/s max on single channel ISDN, 14k/s max on dual channel ISDN.

Pity my conn is fucked whenever I want to play a game atm, though :[

Restrictions? Not afaik. Not limits on how much you can download, no speed caps or anything like that.

The only downside of ADSL/Cable is that when it fucks up, you're generally screwed until the ISP can be bothered to fix it. And in my experience, NTL won't do fuck all if it's working, regardless of how badly it's working.

At least with modem/dialup you can switch ISPs to play a quick game of something, with broadband you're completely stuck until something is turned off/on
