Hey everyone!

I passed out of basic training last friday, the pass off parade was the proudest moment of my life! still a long while of trade training yet, but I'm through the rough and tumble bit now it seems!

No more ninja ironing! only a very small amount of locker and bathroom inspections from now on too hopefully!!

I just wanted to say cheers for all the great posts and comments you lot left while I was in training - it really helped!

Here's a few pictures I dont think I've posted yet :)

On top of the Pen Y Fan in Wales:

Messing about while waiting to deploy on our Final Ex:

And lastly me with my family after the pass off parade:

Hopefully I'll be posting a bit more again now, although it depends alot on how full on the next phase of training is!

Anyways, cheers again everyone, your encouragement and advice over the past few years has really, really helped.

Done 18h march with 37kg on your back? :)

Haha no! 8 hours with around 20kg up and down the Pen Y Fan is about as close as we've gotten to anything like that :p My Bergan was bloody heavy on the final Ex though! I was dragging that about for 5 days, good times! :)

What regiment have you signed up for?

Royal Corps of Signals - no regiment chosen just yet!

A couple of my friends are going to try for 216 Signal Squadron, which provide comms for 16th Air Assault Brigade, which means you're classed as 'airborne', earn the right to wear a maroon beret and potientially get a decent shot and getting rounds down in afghan - apparently :)

Basicly its 'para' Signals, so you get all the fun involved with that. Have to be fairly fit for it though so I'll have to see how my phys goes in Phase2 !

Btw Dukat, do the drill people check to see of you're polished your helmet properly? :)
