How far off are we from full wrap-around virtual reality home games consoles ?

20 years ?
Never ?

Eg. At the moment you control your Wizzie through a PC screen. What if you WERE your Wizzie. Total virtual reality wrap around.

Would it be dangerous ? Would you have to have a cut-off time (but then ppl will chip them anyway...) so ppl don't end up dying IRL in virtual world cos they forgot to eat for a week ?

Everyone should read "Better than Life" by the Red Dwarf script writers to know how the world would be with completely immersion video games - the book is a giggle too! :worthy:

Im sure it will be possible some day. I remember the first virtual reality games about 10 years ago. Me and my cousin tried it in liverpool. Whilst the graphics were akin to space invaders, it did actually work and you were kinda imersed into the game. It was a 1 v 1 shoot out. Not so sure if they have been working on it during the last 10 years though.
