Vortigern to Deira : lost account :(

Hi,

I'm an italian daoc player (SORRY MY ENGLISH) on Vortigern server. After GOA take us and move our account on Deira they put up an old backup account. So many of us lost password and also, who made a new account with CTO (Vortigern), loose their new account.

So, we got all the information for receive back the old password, because we can log into Vortigern and we can manage our account with website at CTONet so we can demostrate that we own the account.

Now, I ask if someone of GOA staff read here and can response to me what we can do !!!

Many of us send an email to abonnement [AT] goa.com or subscription or something like ... without any reply.

Please help us !!!

I'll pass it on to the people who are dealing with the italian servers but I won't have any news until tomorrow.

Yes I got your PM thank you. I'll find out what's going on tomorrow however it may take a little time to resolve, it depends how fast CTO respond to our queries. The database we're using for Deira will have been provided to us by them, if it's wrong then we'll need to get them to send us the right one.

Just to check, you are trying to conect to Deira and not to another European server such as Escalibur or Broceliande?

Your passwords will only work on Deira as you aren't on the same database as our other European players yet.

one of my friends as a similar problem


but imho worst

One of the last week of Vortigern someone have changed the password of his account.
One of the last administrator after a verify got a new password to him and then come back log in on Vortigern

Now during migration his password don't work.

where can he ask for help?

Ok I've spoken to a few people and it is being sorted out. The problem is that the account database with all the passwords is an old one, we need to get hold of the most recent one so that people who changed their passwords recently or opened new accounts can get into the game. Unfortunately it's a little complicated as we need to contact Mythic who need to get hold of CTO to send us the up-to-date database.
Erivoss is working on it though and as soon as we have more news we'll let you know here.

Hi there everyone (Requiel above all)!
I guess my problem is even worse.... besides not finding the password (still guessing if it is lost in my mind or somewhere on the way from Vortigern to Deira :( ) I got the GOA welcome message on a wrong email account, i.e. the one by CTOnet. I can still read that email address but I am wondering if it will keep being valid as CTO is closing everything down (or so it seems).
If GOA does nothing in a short time I just have the fear I will have lost both the email account to communicate with the new host and the password of my account. I wonder how I will then demonstrate that the account is mine :(
I guess I won't play for Xmas (sad I had so much free time during these vacations), but at least let us know something if you can!

I've changed my game pw 1 moth ago, and now I can't log with the new one neither with the old one...
I hope that you could do something for us…

As both Erivoss and I have said, we need to get the correct account database from CTO. When that happens, you'll all have access to Deira with the correct passwords. Until that time I'm afraid that all you can do is wait. It is being dealt with by both us and Mythic and hopefully we'll it sorted soon.

Only a thing ... CTO dismiss the DAoC staff, close in a short time Vortigern and we hope that database account doesn't delete by CTO or our account ar lost for ever :( . What's up if CTO close all and delete website and daoc account ? Can this a possible scenario ?

We know that's the problem is CTO :m00: and the big problem is that CTO is being closed !!! So I want to say 'HURRY UP' how the old platform style games ;)

If your accounts is bound to a wrong email adress, it is still possible to receive your account information from GoA by emails subscription(at)goa(dot) com (might have spelled it wrong, im not english either :)) and give them alot of information, like: First Name, Last Name, Adress, CD-keys etc and they can usually solve your problem and give you your account information, so you can change the password and email.

Even if GoA do not receive the new database, the only thing new players will loose is a bit of time and effort, as the CD-keys will not be bound if not in the database, so they should be able to re-create a new account with the now free CD-key, if GoA do not get the new database.


To all you Italian players coming to GoA's service: Welcome and be calm, you are in good hands now, the GM team here (as you can see by their reply rate in this thread) is very good and helpfull :)
