Forget the pbaoe, GTAOE is far superior for detecting stealthers, as you can GTAOE just about anywhere including the other side of walls and miles away in an open space where you guess the stealther might be... Pbaoe willl only be more usefull if you think you are standing on a stealther and want to keep nuking in that one spot (as GTAOE has stupid recast time).

I left it in mana, which does get u a pbaoe as mentioned (which isnt on any quickbar I have), but does reduce the cost of the your 4 shields by a small amount.

I have considered the extra level in light instead, as it should improve the light dd very very slightly, but I get a feeling it might then take half your mana bar just to shield up, and you can forget about dishing out damage shields ;)

if you intend to go with void then get light to 28. you then put the spare points in mana and end up with

46 void
28 light
4 mana

this gives you a decent [with +11 from items anyway :p] variance on the light DD which you will be relying on since the void dd is total pants. 4 mana is enough to get the first pbaoe which can be used when you try to root out stealthers. you also get a wicked str/con debuff instant which can .. well maybe root a level 6 caster if he's carrying a lot.

is 4 (+whatever) mana enough to shield up and give damage shield to 3+ tanks without needing to have a good sit down after?

I have to budget my damage shields as it is with 9 +whatever mana.

the amount of spells you can cast with your manapool depends on focus, not on your proficiency in the spell-line.

bah of course, silly me.

Oh, and whats the radius on pbaoe compared to gtaoe. I think... pbaoe is 300 while GTAOE is 350 (at leats thats what the spellists I can find say). So again pbaoe is inferior in some ways for stealther detection for this reason?

yes the gtaoe has a bigger area of effect and is the better choice in your case. the _main_ reason for sticking the last points in mana is that its not enough to buy one more point in light anyway.

plus boni m8 gtaoe has a chance of hitting all the mobs twice

Ive no idea why or if its a bug but it works well in PvE and RvR :)

it's not a bug but feature. gtaoe is designed to be like a meteor shower. so you can catch 2 on your face.
stop telling it can be a bug, i don't want it to be nerfed (heard about LOS needed planned on vnboards :/). I do want to keep void from lvl1 to rr42 :)

gtaoe in pve ?? I don't see why use it. damage is crap compared to void ae and you may prefer see mobs while xping :)

I actually use it out in the fins with the order gtaoe aoe aoe gtaoe and so on

its works for bout 350~+sdmg and if that hits twice then thats just as good if not better plus i also find it resist less dunno why it just does :p

the two click thing does get nerfed in some patch I think :(

I dont think they are nerfing the LOS as its intended to work as a siege tool like that.

GTAOE has some strange advantages against higher level mobs / monsters, as the damage/resists seems to work in a different way that is not affected by your difference in levels. Having said that epic mobs in cf are about the only time I would use this spell to try and damage an opposed to disrupt/detect, im pretty sure AOE is stronger against fins, though thinking about it if GTAOE lands twice then yeah, its pretty much the same damage and the benefit if your under 50 and dont have a load of ra's may be worth it.
