void bolts nerfed?

Some weeks ago back before I was level 49 my void spec bolt did 955 damage when fighting yellow cons. If they were resistant it did 955(-50) if vulnerable 955(+25). Things like that. All the time - I suspect that this is just the damage cap I got.
Lately, since I've reached level 50 (NOTE: _not_ since we lost the relics!) my bolt has been doing 500 damage tops on yellow cons. Has mythic been nerfing void bolts even more than they already were? Or does anyone else got a suggestion? Is mid/alb bolts nerfed too?
Currently both my void DD and AoE DD is doing more damage (per hit) than the bolt...

Actually there are a lot of voidies around coz of their debuffs

without power relic there is a slight difference

maybe now that ur 50 as well you might be using epic stuff to take away from your void focus?

remember a yell mob in daoc could be up to lv 53 (i think) and if ur void is at 53 overall including +void stuff you will hit ift more effectively

p.s There are a few of us 50 voideys not many but a few

Dont know if its the same but my 24 void eldritch do ~250 damage with bolt on yellows and like 150 with ordinary void dd

A yellow mob could be 53 if we could reach level 58... as it is we can't so yellow mobs are 46-50, level 53 would be orange as it's higher than you.

Also void focus doesn't affect the damage you do, but the mana spent on casting it. Void skill + items can affect the average damage output though, allowing you to hit closer to cap on even cons.

Only possibility I could think of is that the people you're hitting are being judged to be in combat or are partially blocking the bolts, always been buggy and a bit gimped unfortunately

No, nothing like that

My damage just dropped a lot all of a sudden, no obvious reason. I can still do capped (955) damage on a blue/green con, but I've always been able to do it on yellow cons as well.

I am just thinking, why nerf bolts, of all things?

in bg and this is af dependant i usually do ~180-440 dmg with 24 spec bolt and 100-160 with dd dependant on resists (with 24+5 void spec) just a FYI there

Note i got from mythic when i complained about this stated the following classed as combat

1) 10 seconds after you hit mob with first bolt it is in combat with you

2) If youyr in a group and you pull with bolt 1 it is then in aggro immediately with whole group, hence in combat

3) If another mob of the same type is within a certain range (they didnt say how much) then this mob may "confuse" your bolt (lol thier words not mine)

Basically unless your solo and fast and the mob is on its own

You will get the combat message

Yes it sucks but hopefully one day void will be given some new stuff and be back in da zone

i think bolts in general have been nerfed
playing a 50 runie with 47 in RC i bolted a yellow con Avalonian for only 600(-50) with my speccy bolt. Normaly it go's 900ish if they have bad or no resists(like this guy)

Last week I noticed the damage I was doing to yellow con mobs wasn't the 955 cap I had previously but as I hadn't played Eld since blowing my comp when we still had the power relics I thought it was down to that, everything else was the same for me, lvl, armour, staff and such

guess it's just the bolt nerfing hitting again
