Vodaphone Network Coverage

Guys,

Anyone know where Vodaphone advise of network outages (if they do?)

cant get a signal on my mobile and wanted to check the network.

nope m8y - that just shows where you should get a signal

Hmm

Well, take out the SIM Card, give the gold chip side a quick wipe on something dry and see if you can get coverage then.

If not, do something called a Manual Network Selection, its dependant on the handset, but you go into the menu, select it to manual and select a different network than Voda - Say, O2 or Orange - Once this is done just switch it back to automatic

Failing those, try the SIM card in another phone [Voda of course]

if the sim has always been in the phone, will wiping it upon removal make any difference to just taking it out and putting it back in?

Ive always found just taking it out does the job, although sometimes its apparent bits of dust etc causes interference, so just giving it a quick wipe sorts it out.
