Just been reading Anandtech and I came across this article on Symantec stating that Vista has more serious security holes than XP. It makes me wonder what the hell Microsoft are thinking rushing out yet another operating system before they get the security sorted out.

Anyway, here is the article, judge for yourself.

Wouldn't Symantec say that... if only to emphasize how important their software will be to make Vista "more secure"?

In the end we're all going to be using it. We're all going to know 2 or 3 dumbasses who get viruses that prey on these weaknesses in the OS because they ... well were dumbasses. And in the meanwhile millions of users are going to be just fine using it just like they were with all the other windowsversions of the last couple of years.

wont be touching vista for a good 2 years after its release, no point having bloatware like that until its essential

Vista is a beta....
there is no real release of Vista yet so its rather silly basing this on a beta.
Despite that fact vista is a new OS, inevitably there will be some bugs, im no microsoft fanboi but the fact of the matter is XP is about 3 yrs? old so inevitably it will have less security holes
