Vincible's Video Collection:

Sadly, for all of you that may have just rushed to this thread, it's not full of pr0n.

No, these are videos that I've made in the last four or five days. These three are my first three and only tries at doing this and I'll be the first to admit that they're nothing special. Certainly, they contain no scenes of me 'uber pwning' or anything of the like. Because I'm not uber. And everyone's done and seen everything I can do in-game a thousand times.

Rather, these videos attempt to tell a story of some type. I know you probably won't like them, but someone suggested to me that I post them here and I thought 'why not?'. So here we are.

The Adventures of a Dog that is also a Clown:
www.naeblis.com/~vincible/Clowndog_001.WMV
(you won't really understand this unless you frequented the old Utopia forums. In short, I have a picture of a dressed up dog and I made up all this backstory for him in my head... never mind.)

Dee Murcalumis Investigates: Out-fighting the Fighter:
http://www.naeblis.com/~vincible/Demal_001.WMV

Plus Four Thousand Dexterity is far too Much for me, you see:
www.naeblis.com/~vincible/Demal_002highquality.wmv
(This one involves me charging Eclipse, apparently (though I don't know who they are, so can't tell you for sure ;)).

This is a low quality version of the above video. The music sounds a bit funny and everything, so I'd only suggest downloading this if you're on a very slow connection or can't be bothered to download the extra 30 megs. This one is 12 mbs while the above is 40: www.naeblis.com/~vincible/Demal_002.WMV

Anyway, critique is welcomed as I enjoyed making them and will probably make more. But bear in mind when you're making suggestions:

1. This is my first try at this
2. I don't even think they're good
3. I made them all in a couple of hours each (give or take)
4. It's not really gonna effect me if you flame them.

;)

(Also, you probably need Windows Media Player to run them. I'm not sure if you can use anything else.)

Downloaded them, tried to watch them but - for some weird reason - my gfx card doesn't like them and keeps throwing tantrums. Sorry :(

Shame. But at least they're safe from the scathing comments of Turamber! ;)

Oh, could it be that you need a new codex thingy? (I don't really know what that is, but someone said their player crashed each time till they got a codex update).

If my codecs weren't fuxx0red I'd watch them :p.

I should get my 'free' copy of XP in the post soon though which should fix my problem, will watch them then.

They best be good, or else :p.

Clowndog is a cool superhero that saves babies! (The cabalist in the video is his alter ego. Duh!)

This is copied from something I just wrote on the guild forums as I can't be arsed to type it out again :p

'Looking over them again just now I've noticed the sound quality is a quite bad on the files I've saved. I did find an option to save it as a higher quality file. This makes the file a little bigger. For example the latest one is 40mbs instead of 12. I'm not going to upload them for now as it's not my server. It doesn't make much of a difference, though, but on the files as they are now, the sound does sound a little screechy.

Just letting you know if you thought they sounded a bit weird.'

What songs did you use n00b0r?

Oh, and on that subject, did my tape ever arrive? :x

For the first film: Appleseed Cast - 'Max'

Second film: 'Number 5' and 'Merchandise' (as well as little bits of 'Repeater' thrown in) by, you know who, Fugazi.

Third film: 'Epic Problem' again by Fugazi.

I must seem like I only ever listen to Fugazi, heh. It's just that when I heard those songs I thought about what I could do in-game to them. That's how it seems to work with me; I make the video to the song, not just put a song over the video. (Though, that's probably not what it looked like, but that's what I tried!)

And the tape did arrive... I can't remember when, but a while ago. However, after realising that the tape player on my CD player was broken, I had to go and find another one. So I only got it working the other day. Now I just need to find the time to sit down and listen to it all. But the ones I have listened to sound funky!

(Also crazy quote! ;))

Ah, phew, was worried it had been either a) lost in the post or b) stolen by an ewul postie.

Nice choice of songs :D.

Once the guy from my t2 clan who is sending me a copy of XP gets around to posting the CD I'll check out those movies .

Now I see why it was free! ;)

Ewul pirate man! (Rargh!)

Oh, by the way, I forgot to say that I also used Cap'n Jazz's 'No use for a Piano Player when you got a Player Piano' for the end/credits of the last film.

It's spelt caP'n Jazz FYI :p.

Awesome band, awesome song. Check out "The Owls" same band, different name. Awesome music :D.

Anyway... going just slightly off-topic now, so, uh, movies rock!

 I'll have to take your word on that one, then! Everywhere I've seen it it's been a wittle 'p'!

It's a bit strange that I've managed to hijack my own post. (With your help ofc ffs m8 soz!!!11)

It's spelt caP'n Jazz trust me... and trust the caP'n Jazz discography I own . "Chicago's most pretentious band" indeed. Did you know that the members of caP'n Jazz were all around 15-18 when they were making music in caP'n Jazz? Impressive, imo :D.

Points for over-use of the phrase "caP'n Jazz"?

P.S. Movies rock :D.

Kind of like Hanson, isn't it?

I once saw a T-Shirt that said 'I fucked the girl from Hanson'. Givf!

Okay, I did actually upload a higher quality version of the last video. I couldn't do the earlier two as I have already deleted the footage for them (it takes up a hell of alot of space on your hard drive).

Anyway, the link's been edited if you're interested at all.
