Viewing websites through your playstation3

Just got back from my mates who has a ps3. His internet is all set up etc, router working fine, but web pages take an eternity to load. Is this the norm or is something wrong?

No it's just the piss slow java based browser that the ps3 uses, same as the piss slow ui on my blu-ray player which annoys the shite out of me that isnt anywhere near as good as my HD-DVD player fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you Sony.

My PS3 web brower loads fine and dose not have a delay. It dose not dispay a few web pages i want to look at but its not slow by any means.

Should have got a PS3 instead of a blu ray player cheaper and by no means slow.

Cheaper yes but it doesnt do justice to upscaled dvd's or blu-ray disc's compared to a good standalone player.

Not to mention it's not flat so i cant stack it in my a/v rack, it's ugly and its one more console that i'd be tempted to buy games for when i already spend enough on games, well in a year when some good games come out for it anyway.

I will resist most of your bait but it is a stunning Blu Ray player and i have not seen any one anywhere apart from you suggest that it dose not play blu rays to the full potential.

A/V forums is a good guide, also theres a few other places that reviewed it compared to other players, dont get me wrong the ps3 is good value but i didnt want another console.
