video on ipod nano

Okay,so i bought my first ipod today (nano) and i wanted to put some videos on it (mp4 format) put it dosent allow me,so i quess i need some extra softwear with it ,can enyone tell me ? sorry put im a techy noob and sorry for my bad english also.

You can't put videos on it other than a screensaver as far as I'm aware.

I may be wrong as I'm barely an Apple fan.

You need some other software than standard, i dont recall what its called tho

But it's possible.

It is possible - using something like iPodLinux but I don't think it's supported by Apple themselves.

ok i searched on google and i think i need the Linux version for it,put it can screw up the ipod so i dont think i will install it,put thanks for help m8s

It is the large capacity Nano yeah? The smaller ones (1 & 2 GB) dont do video

I use this program for my pod(video) and it works like a charm!

Guess you can use it for Nano aswell if you just tweak the setup abit

So you just convert the video files to mp4 and add them to ur Ipod with Itunes yes ?
