Just bought the game and was wondering if there is a way to move the guy with the mouse (move the mouse to the left and he turns left) like in mafia and GTA 3?.

I see mouse controlled movement for the cars but it wont let me turn it on.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you properly, but the default controls let me do that. ASDW for forward/back/strafe and mouse for looking. Is that what you mean?

Same here, but I also noticed that I could use my Force Feedback Wheel to move the guy, but I couldn't use it in cars.

In conclusion then, try disconnecting any joysticks/pads/wheels before playing and see if it makes a difference. By default you should be able to move Tommy with the mouse.

oh i never tried default controls, I redefined... by default do you mean classic?.

fucking thing locks up every 2 mins and I have to reboot so I cant be bothered to load it up again lol.

Its a mixed bag with the graphics on the PS2 you get the cool distorted water dropplets when it rains and you get a regular fps, but in the PC version you get better texture, higer res, easier controls but you lose some of the cool effects from the PS2

I just completed it on the PC.. the last mission was surprisingly easy.

I won't say what happens so as not to ruin it, suffice to say I just stood at the top of the stairs and mowed everything and everyone down with the minigun. Didn't even have to get a new set of armour or anything - whole thing was over in about a minute.

I actually liked it that the bosses shirts were no more resilient to bullets than everyone else's.

Actually the PC version is slighty different than the PS2 Version.

As in some parts of the city, they've removed a drive-way and replaced with a wall also they've spread out some parking areas and made some alleyways more narrow.

Indeed, but compared to some of the hard multi-part jobs it was a walk in the park. I think me using the minigun ruined it somewhat, since that thing is insane - it just destroys everything in about 1/2 a second. I've got a savegame just before the call so Ill prolly try it again with something else.

Having a lot of fun with the Apache though

How does it run in comparison to GTA3? Because GTA3 ran great for me..30fps @ 1280x1024x32 but vice city looks like it could need a rather high spec computer to play.

Negatory, Vice City runs better than GTA3 did. The engine has been ported in a much better way. GTA 3 ran *ok* on my machine, Vice City runs perfect (same res etc)

you can get it if you fly in, you just need to be wearin a police uniform otherwise you get ur ass kicked by the army. Altho whenever i fly in on the ps2 version it's never there unless i'm in the apache and goin back to pick up a new one cos i've screwed mine up.
