Very Good Game

I've been playing Gunman Chronicles the last few days and have to say its really good and has given me the same felling that I got when playing HL for the first time.

I got very scared at one point when TUGs mum appeared:

and even more so when I realised that she wanted a kiss yet had Bad breath:

Back to the serious point, its a great game and I believe I'm about half way through atm and still finding it a joy to play

embattle, what system were those taken on?

I thought the graphix were skank but thise arn't bad.

This picture shows the kick arse Tank you get to drive, its so easy to control because the strafe buttons turn the tank while the forward and backwards control forward and reverse movement. However the mouse controls the turret which means its easy to fire and move. The left mouse button is the main cannon and the right is the machine gun with the middle button firing a homing air missle.

I have just run over a dead body which you can see is flying every where now

My system is P3-700E, 256MB RAM, 30GB HD & 6GB, GF DDR, W2K.

The settings were Opengl @ 1024x768 16bit, no FSAA.

TBH I find that the graphics are really good but it doesn't matter since the game is so involving you tend not to notice

Nice rig, i won't get it though since i have spent too much on compters lately, I am also saveing up for the big titles this year. (red faction, Tribes 2, DF:LW)

I have played HL and the single player was good but i like my multiplayer more and that is why DF:LW is so good and why i will probably not get this. I think DN3d put me off single player since i couldn't stand wandering around a level for 2 hours looking for a key card. DF puts you in a situation where you can always do a mission by takeing another route where as HL got me stuck a few times and there wasn't an alternative way to kill the big thing in the missile silo etc. (Also DF AI sux)

But i do like my halflife and i am sure i would enjoy this but there is no intense multiplayer to backup single player when you get stuck/board. I only finished HL because CS made me keep it on my HD.

Actually I know some one who played the multiplayer game and said it was really good.

The reviews I've seen for the one player game of DF:LW have been alright but one of the problems with the bad guys is how stupid they're, I remember playing the demo and wondered why they were so stupid.

Please tell me Gunman Chronicles is better than Half-Life. If there was one single player game that bored me more than half-life, it would have to be Virtua Paint-Drying. Even the Quake 3 single player absorbed me more than HL (I got to the second tier then gave up cos UT was more fun).

I never got more than perhaps a quarter way thru HL without being bored senseless, got up to the blast pit (read: big annoying 3 headed fucker tapping on the floor screaming in meh earphones, cuntor) then got ridiculously bored of crawling around - its clearly what stemed the bore-fest that is Cuntorstrife.

I had to finish halflife since everyone talked about it. I was pretty darn dissapointed at the ending. This game is probably good, no doubt about it but it doesn't have a buy me factor. The graphics are ok and i am sure that the single player is good but i have played halflife and i got fed up of plaing games where you have to solve puzzles.

I play
UT for my frag fest.
CS for tactics and team work.
Q3 for my graphics.
Tribes for a game that has a so much depth you can't stop playing.
Deus ex for my signle player
DF:LW (i will) for amaseing fun, graphics and a game where snipers and campers are respected.
