Very few large shield drops??

Just started a warrior,but when i look at it,it seems there is very few large shield drop's,most of them is medium shield drop's,dont even think there is a large shield drop in spindelhalla.Is this true or can some point me too some good large shield drops,im only lvl 12 right now,but i would like to know where to get large shield drops all the way to lvl 50 ;)

The only large shield drop i've found is the Garaou defender from varulvhamn, cons yellow to me at lvl 42.

There is a level 50 Large Shield drop off Jotun Outcasts in Vanern Swamp (The red/purple to 50 ones)

Regardless, lack of shield drops should never be a reason to not make a warrior.

I have heard reports of Thanes and even some warriors using small shields in RvR because the Slam duration is still 9 seconds using small shield and it uses LESS end that a medium or large shield.

Also I have heard reports of Thanes and Warriors blocking multiple attacks using small shields, although if there is truth to this I dont know, it was after all posted on the IGN Vault boards.

Yup i found the Garaou defender the other day with my thane in varulvehamn,and thats about it,but i guess a medium shield is gonna do the job also.Does a large shield block better or just able to block strike's from more enemy's at the same time ?

Just more nme at same time, all 3 shields have the same block chance, which is 5% +0.5% for each spec point in shield.

What is the diffrence on a medium shield and a Heater medium shield?

In Midgard, absolutely nothing re blocking.

Heater Shield is a heavier sheild than a Kite shield, and so shield styles using a Heater shield use more end and do more damage and swing slower.

it is true that there is a chance to block multiple attacks made againest you with a medium.

I looked over at http://camelot.allakhazam.com to see what type of large shields there is (as a drop - you can buy them or have them made), and I found the following three:

Garou Defender - http://camelot.allakhazam.com/item.html?citem=3170

Lustrous Black Orm Scaled Shield - http://camelot.allakhazam.com/item.html?citem=2115

so it looks like large shield isen't a big part of the game, since Thanes can "only" use medium shields and all other shields user can only use small.

Also Icebound Warshield drops from WoWs. Our guild got one couple weeks ago.

Plus I think I trust mad-troll about the block rates, which would be 5% for small, 10% for medium and 15% for large. These are based on actual experiments and not just some 'I think...' or 'someone said on VNBoards...'

The shield drop from the Clay Jotums is the Runed Clay Warshield which I think has a nice hitpoints bonus on it if memory serves and it is indeed a large shield.

Not having had much use for them I've tended just to give them away as soon as I got them.

Hey, I like my Black Orm Shield... Had it for about 5 levels now. Poor thing'll fall apart before I hit 50. :p

Anything that give +6 to shield and is large gets my vote.

Ooh thats what its called, thanx Brannor, Black Orm Shield, off Jotun Ouctasts in Vanern, best reg mob drop Large Shield in game current;y (WoW Drop is out of most peoples reaches currently, it drops so very rarely and WoW hunts are not commonplace)

There's also one a bit lower in level, Charred Bone shield I think it's called. Can't remember where it drops, but it's a good large shield to use up to around 34... Still have one, though now using a Darksteel kite shield :p
Waiting for one of those higher level large shields mentioned to come my way :)

'Charred Bone' sounds like it has Muspelheim written all over it.

Big place though ;)
