Very bad frames rates, unplayable SI, but my pc meets the minimum specs

I’m not a happy thane :-(

I checked and made sure my pc spec matches the minimum spec of the new SI

AMD Athlon 1.4 thunderbird
256 DDR ram
Video logic’s vivid! xs 32mb


Ok that’s the minimum (should be able to atleast play on the lowest of quality settings, which I tried), yet soon as I step foot into the new SI lands of midgard, I’m lucky to get 1 frame per second (at best) and normally I’m at 1 frame every 3-6 seconds :-( I’ve never had this problem even in the busiest RvR raids.

Is anyone having the same problem? Or does anyone know why the game is unplayable in any way?

You might want to find new drivers for your graphics card.

installed it on my kids PC, p3 700, 256meg pc133 ram, gf4mx400 and it plays ok

Updated drivers
set to 800x600
removed all shadows/set to old water

I found out that soon as I left Aegirs, the problem cleared... until I turned to face it again (think it's that open water). so probably my graphics card rendering in weird and wonderful ways.

Guess I'll have to shop around for a cheap good one :-(
