Thank you Spiffontherun. I know what it is and how to ge it but I have never had it. I am calling upon the users of Vanish and the experience they have with it. I am wondering what level to take it to. But again I thank you for your comment.

i love vanish since im a hunter and dont have it...


its CRAP! you are invisible for 1-2 seconds... wohoo.. with mos3 youre easily spottable after that.. and then you have like 30 seconds when you cant draw weapons... only thing vanish is good for is climbing in keeps kill something and vanish from the guards...

Vanish 2 works fine for me, but the only 100% guarantee to escape is vanish 3

If an infil needs to vanish from a hunter he's crap anyway .

But seriously, a MoS3 archer won't get you if you use vanish2 in the right manner. I've never been uncovered by enemy stealther after using vanish.

Vanish BLOWS. If you use it and a caster with normally high dex has you targeted/is targeting you, he will be able to nuke you even tho you vanish. It fucking blows when it comes to that. Tried to vanish several times from casters but died all the time.

and no, pets do not get you if you use vanish. YOu can also vanish vs mobs or npc guards and they will disengage. That's what its good for. Oh, and getting away vs non casters / vanishing when killing stuff in a keep. Atleast when it comes to vanish 1, which I have.

Vanish is pants to be honest if they are within FZ range of me and vanish its no problem finidng them, if they are more than FZ its usually harder simply because by the time you get to the point of them vanishing they are out of MoS range.

Timing.. It all comes down to timing.. don't expect vanish 1 to be a sure thing, you get what you pay for.

vanish1 for good , or vanish2+ if you are grimster wannabe.

High dex casters arent the problem, its the low dex casters.

Or slow casting damage spells.

Well, I'm not sure how you lot play but I've got about a 90% success rate with vanish 1, like someone else said it's all about timing and what you do after you vanish - if I'm in a 1 v 1 and I see a group coming I'll vanish and get the fudge outta there. The fact that you're fighting normally stops people from whacking RoD quick enough to come find you, and it's very good if yer fighting on bridges - vanish and jump off.

You just have to learn what situations to use it in, but it's never a garunteed safety button. I love it, but wont take it any higher than 1.

Vanish 1 only - and i wouldn't be without.

vs NPC guards/critters its about 95% effective.

vs other assassins/archers its useless - don't even think about using it.

vs casters its about 80% effective if you know how to use it. Don't hit it and try to run - run first, look for LOS breakers/range then hit it.

vs all other classes its pretty much perfect if you know how to use it. Saved me more times than I can count. Whether the additional points to upgrade to level 2 are wotrth it is debatable - works well enough for me for a 5point spend.

(Also pretty good if you want to clear negative effects and combat isn't looming - used it a few times on v low health with a dot still ticking. Saves a visit to the bindstone.)
