I think the original poster is going off on one about the casting speed / resist peirce issue. Yes its going to help your damage so why not try to get more damage into your template, your basically shouting at people for giving you advice on how you can get more damage, yes a lot of vamps damage comes from claw and you should know that.

You manage to fit in high con and 200 hp cap aswell as caping energy and matter which are two resists not so majorly needed, some of these could be changed so that your essentials are there but some changes to give you added casting speed and spell peirce to help your damage.

Especially with your listed spec 48 in one line as a vamp means that you will not spend much time or power putting buffs up so you will have time to spam claw and you should have the power for it too, your arguements seem pointless and the only person losing here is you if you dont listen to peoples advice.

I dont think you posted it looking for advice, i think you expected everyone to say it pwns, my initial thoughts even without knowing about the spell peirce that from looking at the items used that it could be improved most likely.

Sorry it wasnt you all the whineing it was mckennit's keyboard warrioring over templates.

Anyway as i said before id try to fit it in and use different items, i see several low utility items in the template used for caps, look around for better combinations and look at the new bp items coming, with those there is so many cominations of items that might work well together you might be able to fit in more than you thought, plus you look uber in AT :p

I think hit cap is a bit overrated aswell, ofcourse its nice but at the end of the day an extra 50 hits isnt going to win you many fights at all, a bit of extra damage might swing it though as we are talking 5%+ here.

i find 5%+ damage from AT' spell pierce highly overated :p

especially when we take into consideration those 5% damage apply only to claw damage which is less than 50% of the total damage dealt by a vamp when facing a non-afk tank...

i repeat... it's not the claws that weight the most in a fight, it's the self buffs and debuffs you throw at the opponent.

specially for the 2 fans of spell pierce and casting speed vamp templates :)

had to trade some resists, dex, con and hits but managed to fit AT and some casting speed items.

even it doesnt contain any bp items, IT IS a 1.88 template because of the kraken eye.

nice vamp temp m8! <--- aiming the thread starter....

although most of the other opinions got me confused , i still believe that a vamp is mainly a tank so putting caster bonuses in it may help his dmg but since a vamp starts with low power if u fight a shield tank ur in deep deep trouble without high hits and mellee staff to save ur ass ... thats why i agree with anioal .

caster bonuses sound kinky on a vamp though :< u cant have everything in a template ha? :<

You dont need spell bonuses on a vamp ... spell damage for vamps is 100% based on Str ... End of ;)

None talked about spell damage, only cast speed.

Your template is nice Anioal. But just to finish this discussion, it was asked for what kind of spec/playstyle the template was aimed for. And no awnser was given. For solo playstyle ofc a little more surviability then dps is always better, for grp playstyle, dps for VE spec vamps, should be priority, imho.

Make a better template with 10% spell pierceing with 200 less hp and crap resists and then you can feel better inside ? :D

In this temp yes, as the debuff from the LW will help alot more. I've made most of my temps with CW tho as i prefer to use it. And vamp dps is mostly claw based, so not rly that fussed about the other stats. I can see if i can dig up one of my old CW temps if you wanna see. Can't guarantee anything tho since i dont have full access to my comp atm :)

But all the arguing aside, as you can see in my first/second post in this thread i asked what kind of vamp it was for. I've pretty much ONLY played vamp in FG and in a very competative enviroment. And castspeed/pierce is king. For solo i dont know if its worth the sacrifice.
