at the top of the temp u said wit no weapon...but in the temp u actually have a weapon m8..just wanna point it out for others

yah, that was kinda the idea, seeing as its only aurores that does fire dmg on the entire server(almost) besides stealthers i figured heat would be a less important resist, but i didnt wanna disregard it completely either seeing as i duo/trio alot

Just edited the template abit, swapped the shield with the boots, so now you can use GS, and template will have same stats now, even without the shield, just 2% less melee resists

I personally like my own one better(duh), mainly becuase it's got 6% castspeed but it uses Siliilia's necklace so it is a pain to get. Reworking it a bit but will post later.

16% + 8% is still a bad idea.

Reason is that leather is 15% weak to heat, this is a big deal if you ever want to solo (and you do on a vamp).

Fact is that you really need a druid bot for castable resist buffs, otherwise people are going to hit you very hard indeed.

I'd just like to point out that:

16 + 24 - 15 = 25% resists vs heaters
26 + 24 - 15 = 35% resists vs heaters

That's a pretty big deal, I'm sorry if you don't like the message I'm telling you, but it's the truth. When you're solo the majority of opponants will mostly use heat/crush/slash weapons, and you absolutely want those capped (for obvious reasons).

Fumble is single target and can be purged/resisted, you have to have more than starting power to cast the 40% evade, and it's front arc only. You will be attacked by duo/trios, and they will make it hard for you to keep them both in the front arc. If you have everything capped you stand a better chance of taking one with you.

why not put the weapon in the temp then?

if you are going to make a no weapon template (except for the DR small shield) at least cap the most important resists. if you plan on swapping your weapons a lot you should also cap all important resists, such as heat and melee resists. if you fight multiple targets, which believe me you will, you will get stamped on by heater users if you dont happen to have it equiped. hi 1k PAs, listen to mirt, cap heat without using a weapon or macro /release.
You cant make a template for fighting one sort of class, heaters will be no good vs armsman for instance, to fight them you will be equiping, i dont know, golden spear, whatever weapon, at that point you will be eaten alive if he is a well equiped soloer that actually changes weapon depending on the class he is fighting.

seeing as your armour is resistant to cold and weak to heat....

yes, i did cap the most important resists, heat sure aint one of them, the template caps everything needed for every possible situation(apart from when serks/mercs etc uses lg's), its also a very easy template to make, it would be easy capping all, but im gonna refrain from doing that until we get 1.81.

The reason for my strong reaction to Mirt's comments is that they're rather pointless and silly, and i have this strange habit of thinking highly of people and expect them to be able to think for themselves, i might be mistaking of course.

well if you want to use a charge of your arti weapon you have to have it equiped for.. 15mins?? not sure.

So you run around with the arti weap.. so you can use a charge if you want..

Infil PA's you with a heater. Thus does allot more dmg cause you didnt cap your heat resistance.. + a free stun + another pack of dmg (and that all while your still not equiped with your heater..

atleast you gotta have your Purge key jammed if you wanna swap weapons before his 3rd style hits you and have heat resist capped..

Imo cap heat resistance or you'll be fecked

That's a mistake for the following reason:

Heaters are only good vs assasins, they're terrible vs all other classes, and solo you'll meet just as many archers as assasins, and quite a few other classes like light tanks and minsterals and skalds.

Enemies will a clue will use heat/crush weapons on vampiirs, and if you think it's a good idea to fight a merc/misteral with your heater, think again!

Also limiting yourself to heaters vs assasins isn't a good idea, as they can't afford SC in half the resist types. Most of the high RR stealthers on excal don't SC matter at all, I guarantee each and every one of them has capped heat resists - so why hit vs 10% resists when you can hit vs 0% (hi der maji <3).
