valk dex/qui debuff

No they dont... but.

1) did he even have d/q buff?

2) If he uses a charge for it instead of a bot (only buff so lot use charges) then you wouldnt be able to shear it.

Was me, and yes it was a charge. AFAIK Self-buffs cant be sheared unless its by reactive procs or random shears (45 Dementia-spec Vamp and the Heretic buffshear proc) or the Battlemaster ML10 Style.

Was nice fight, but damn I need solo-RA's instead of my group-RA's

Afaik ml 10 archer/assassin cloak rips away two buffs regardless of them being charges or buffed by yourself.

what level of d/q shear did you have? i know that the lower once (think it's 27) can't shear a yellow buff because it's not strong enough. only blue con d/q at best.

4 possibilities:

1. He wasn't buffed with d/q
2. He resisted, tho you would have seen that in the log.
3. He used a charge from an item.
4. You have too low version of the spell, the lvl37 shear(5 minute RUT) is needed to shear buffs for 75+ stats ie. everything above a green buff(blue if no +buff bonus)

No that's not true, that's how it was when shears got introduced though seeing as nobody specced 46+ in their buff line (cept shammy's) to get the shears that could actually shear people they removed that and now all shears work on whatever buff (ofc if he's not using a charge or buffed himself).
Iirc the Valks higher level shear cone has just a lower cooldown that's all.

I cant shear a buff higher then its value. ive tested it. i need at least 37OW to be able to shear dex/quick of a lvl 50 buffed with yellow buffs.

27/28 is 1 min reuse as well, just for lower buffs as in the bgs ...

50 ow/50 spear so i am high enough to buff shear .. as stated it was a charge so seems u cant shear em....

i have tested shearing with my cleric,with 3 different specs, red specs + bases with 25% stat enhance and yellow specs + bases with 25% stat enhance

one spec being 40enhance, most spells got resisted some times, but could be sheared, when trained mastery of focus1 i could shear most buffs, with much less resist rate ofcourse

other spec being 42enhance ,with mof1 and wo it, i had same effects as initial testing, with less resist rate

last spec being 36e i could use effectively whatever shear i had available, however the resist rate was quite annoying

in the case that you can't shear someones buff, you get a msg saying "the target's connection to the buff yada yada", cant remember exactly, however after a series of testing and using shearing in either /duels or open rvr, i had no problems whatsoever with shearing except in the case of own buffs or own charge buffs

Valk shears are different than cleric/shaman/druid tho so the comparisons are irrelevant.

For example there's no message when the shear fails due to not being buffed, not sure about self-buffs/charges but I would guess it's the same.

No that's wrong. Low level cone shears were implemented for lower BG's, but on the downside they only work on low lvl buffs aswell. Only the original shears (37 and 47 OW) will shear every affected buff.
