Validated but still playing without SI

I was able to log in prior to account validation and played the non-SI version patched to 1.57. Now I've managed to validate account also, but when I log in I still dont have the new races or classes available on the character creation screen. I then logged in with an existing character, and the graphics appeared just the same as they did pre-validation. Checked out the water in the lake in Camp Forest and was no different. I'm assuming that for some reason although my account was validated I'm still not playing the full SI version. Anyone else having this problem? (I've sent RightNow but just curious if anyone else having same issue.).

Did you start from the SI dir or from Camelot dir?

Did you actually install the Shrouded Isles client from the CD-ROM, or did you just validate the account for SI but continue to run the old DAOC client as before?
