i dont like the maps in the demo, they arnt linear enough, you can go down through too many places so makes it hard to find some action. i like the actuall game though, just dont like the maps

The original UT was a decent game, and yes I am a major Q3 player/obsessive, but I don't let that colour my views on other games.

UT is good fun, but UT2K3 is a pile of bollocks I'm afraid.

Stunning graphics, absolutely fantastic, but the gameplay is seriously lacking.

Movement is very limited, you can't move very fast nor jump very high/far, and the weapons don't feel "right", they just look as though you're initiating a graphics animation sequence rather than firing a weapon.

Even BF1942 got that bit right - when I fire a mg in BF1942, it "feels" like I'm firing something. Not in UT2K3 though.

I can't add an opinion because it refuses to extract. Every time I download it (tried 4 different sources and tried download both with IE and an FTP client) I get the following error when I try to run the self-extracting exe:

Oh it's OK, I opened it up with winzip and extracted it manually and it works. I'll go and install it and form an opinion

I downloaded UT2003 . I played online once. I played with bots once. As it said in a voice remeniscent of my kids Pokemon Stadium game "you have won the match" , my computer turned off. And would not restart until five minutes later.
The next day it did it on RtCW. And on the 3dmark test. Over and over again. Finally, it refused to start at all. I sit here at work typing this on an Athlon 500mhz with onboard graphics (!).
I cannot play any games for days, not until the bloke from evesham comes round. Am I pissed off ? Yes. Is UT2003 a pile of shite? Yes.
It may well have been a coincidence, but I dont care. At the moment I hate Ut2003, I hate Athlons and I hate GF4400's, just for good measure :/

I played it last night and I wasn't exactly impressed with it.

The guns don't seem to have any real contact with the people when you hit them.

It does look nice though, it just doesn't feel right. :/
