UT pinging

A ping of 60 with a 56k modem on screaming.net?

I got the same as well , and it was on a night when screaming was really busy.
When i windowed UT the ping rose to about 160

I think UT is trying to make pings look more favourable than they really are. I was playing a game on Saturday and half the peeps had a ping of 140, exactly, while the other half had a ping of 50, exactly. Highly unlikely methinks. Still, it played well, so who cares........

Yeah, actually, coming to think of it, there have been a lot of 140 exact pings...

the pings in unreal seem to be rounded to the nearest 5/10 so this is prolly the same in UT...

imo UNR and Q3A server browsers both give well dodgy result. the only decent server browser ive seen is the quakeworld qizmo one.
