Using Fraps

When using fraps i get a rather big amount of lagg..

Any ideas how to improve this without using 2 dif pc's?

And what settings do i need to use to get decent qua on photage..?

Well if you havent configured anything on fraps you might be recording sound aswell :eek: wich increases lagg a little :)

well yes i did, but didnt know it caused lagg :)

wanted some action sounds in movie.. but will have to skip that then :)

but i have a few other questions:

will having 2 HD make any dif? 1 with daoc 1 with fraps..

will i reduce lagg by setting down resolution in daoc?

will it be less lagg if i set 3d and open gl settings to a minimum..?

Possible but not much, DAOC doesnt really access the drive much until you are changing zones. But if you have a machine with low memory changing the page file to a seperate physical disk would help.

Not much IMO, but as Tears said moving your page file will help a bit.

Yes, and if you reduce the recording resolution in the fraps options.

If you mean, toa terrain, water effects, graphic models (classic or Catacombs), then yes.
