Today a new addon was added which provides the following features:

• Edit own thread title (10 minute timeout)
• Edit own thread prefix (10 minute timeout)
• Add a poll to an owned thread (10 minute timeout)
• Lock/Unlock a thread (10 minute timeout)
• Display Last edited by under each edited post, with a mandatory reason, so make sure you fill it in.
• Display a post edit history to Administrators and Moderators.

I assume mate it's like the old close your own thread feature from vB and I'd imagine that as a user if you close your own thread you've got 10 minutes to change your mind before a mod needs to be asked to undo it for you, though none of this is tested.

Edit reasons aren't necessary but they do stop the potential for anyone to "no i didn't post that" by enacting an edit with nobody able to notice so you guys need to think that one over imho.

AH OK that makes sense. Is there no functionality that just labels the post immediately as edited for everyone to see instead ?

You do not have to put a edit reason and it will still show as edited.
